Brickhouse translates that language into a 9mm pressed glazed porcelain, made in Italy, engineered to perform where real brick can’t always go. See the full collection at [peratile.com/products/collection/brickhouse](https://www.peratile.com/products/collection/brickhouse/). ## The material Brickhouse is a glazed porcelain field tile sized 2 3/8″ x 9 7/8″, produced through a pressed manufacturing process that holds tight tolerances while preserving the irregular, hand-fired look of masonry. Color variation is rated V4 — the highest shade-variation class — so no two installations read the same way twice. That’s a deliberate spec, not a defect: it’s what gives a Brickhouse wall or floor its handmade quality at scale. Six colorways are available in a matte finish, each carrying the same warm, worked-clay undertone so the palette moves from bright to deep without losing the collection’s identity: | Colorway | Product page | Image | | --- | --- | --- | | White | [View product](https://www.peratile.com/product/brickhouse-2-3-8-x-9-7-8-brick-white/) | ![Brickhouse White](https://www.peratile.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/270636-BRICKHOUSE-WHITE-MATTE.jpg) | | Buff | [View product](https://www.peratile.com/product/brickhouse-2-3-8-x-9-7-8-brick-buff/) | ![Brickhouse Buff](https://www.peratile.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/270639-BRICKHOUSE-BUFF-MATTE.jpg) | | Silver | [View product](https://www.peratile.com/product/brickhouse-2-3-8-x-9-7-8-brick-silver/) | ![Brickhouse Silver](https://www.peratile.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/270637-BRICKHOUSE-SILVER-MATTE.jpg) | | Smoke | [View product](https://www.peratile.com/product/brickhouse-2-3-8-x-9-7-8-brick-smoke/) | ![Brickhouse Smoke](https://www.peratile.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/270638-BRICKHOUSED-SMOKE-MATTE.jpg) | | Classic | [View product](https://www.peratile.com/product/brickhouse-2-3-8-x-9-7-8-brick-classic/) | ![Brickhouse Classic](https://www.peratile.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/270640-BRICKHOUSE-CLASSIC-MATTE.jpg) | | Chateau | [View product](https://www.peratile.com/product/brickhouse-2-3-8-x-9-7-8-brick-chateau/) | ![Brickhouse Chateau](https://www.peratile.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/270641-BRICKHOUSE-CHATEAU-MATTE.jpg) | Room-scene photography is also available for several colorways: [Chateau room scene](https://www.peratile.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/BRICKHOUSE-CHATEAU-ROOM-SCENE.jpg), [Smoke room scene](https://www.peratile.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/BRICKHOUSE-SMOKE-ROOM-SCENE-scaled.jpg), [Classic room scene](https://www.peratile.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/BRICKHOUSE-CLASSIC-ROOM-SCENE.jpg), [Buff room scene](https://www.peratile.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/BRICKHOUSE-BUFF-ROOM-SCENE.jpg), and a mixed [White + Buff room scene](https://www.peratile.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/BRICKHOUSE-WHITE-AND-BUFF-ROOM-SCENE.jpg). ## Where it performs Brickhouse is rated for both walls and floors, interior and exterior — a rare combination for a brick-format tile, and the detail that opens up the most design opportunities: - **Feature walls and facades.** Interior or exterior, the format and shade variation carry a masonry read across large planes without the weight or maintenance of real brick. - **Flooring.** Rated for interior and exterior floors, with a DCOF ≥ 0.42 (R10-IW) for slip resistance in both residential and commercial applications. - **Adaptive-reuse projects.** Where the design brief calls for the language of original brick — exposed-masonry lofts, converted industrial buildings, warehouse-to-retail conversions — Brickhouse gives that vocabulary without sourcing constraints or structural load concerns. The one exception: barefoot and wet zones on wall applications, and shower floors, which fall outside Brickhouse’s rated use. For those areas, pair Brickhouse with a wall panel or wet-area collection from the Pera Tile line. ## Technical specifications | Property | Rating | | --- | --- | | Body | Glazed porcelain, 9mm, pressed | | Origin | Italy | | Field tile size | 2 3/8″ x 9 7/8″, matte | | DCOF | ≥ 0.42 (R10-IW) | | Water absorption | ≤ 0.5% (frost resistant) | | PEI rating | Class V | | Shade variation | V4 | | Minimum grout joint | 1/8″ | | Application | Interior and exterior, residential and commercial (walls and floors) | ## Specifying Brickhouse For architects and designers working on a project where masonry character needs to carry across both vertical and horizontal planes — a facade that continues onto an entry floor, or an interior feature wall that meets a patio — Brickhouse is built to do both from a single collection, in the same six colorways. Contractors get a porcelain body’s consistency: predictable coverage per box, stable sizing for layout planning, and a glaze finish that holds up to exterior exposure without the sealing and maintenance schedule real brick requires. **Ready to spec Brickhouse for your next project?** [Browse the full collection](https://www.peratile.com/products/collection/brickhouse/) or contact your Pera Tile rep to request samples and get technical documentation for your submittal package.
